mezzo-soprano | piano teacher | singing teacher
Music has been the thread running through my life for as long as I can remember – I sang before I could speak. For me, music is more than sound; it shapes how I experience the world, and I wish everyone the chance to discover what it can awaken in them.
I studied both classical piano and classical singing at ArtEZ Conservatory (Bachelor), followed by a Master of Music degree at Fontys Conservatory, graduating with distinction for musical vision and professionalism. My voice type is lyric mezzo-soprano / Zwischenfach, balancing the warmth of the mezzo-soprano range with the brightness of a soprano.
My pianistic training was with Marjès Benoist and later Mikhail Markov, complemented by masterclasses with Ronald Brautigam, Galina Vracheva, Frank Peters, and Frank van der Laar.
I studied singing with Lodewijk Meeuwsen and Marjan Kuipers (Bachelor’s degree) and with Sinan Vural, Margriet van Reisen, and partly with Sebastian Vittucci in Vienna (Master’s degree). During my vocal studies, I took two minors in music theatre and one in opera performance. I participated in masterclasses with, among others, Margreet Honig, Jard van Nes, and Claudia Visca, and received two years of breath coaching from Paul Triepels. I also attended a summer course in opera performance with Elsina Jansen and David Prins.
Alongside performing with professional ensembles and pianists, I teach both piano and voice. Over the years, I have worked with students aged 5 to 89, guiding each to discover their own musical voice. Every lesson is a shared journey – where artistry and technique flow together, and music becomes fully alive.
